TipOn rules

The rules here are intended to apply to all tipping competitions regardless of the sport.

  1. Users can TipOn each week's games up to the start of the first game of the respective week.
  2. Users can edit their tips for each week, so long as the first game of the respective week has not begun. To edit tips for a given week, simply TipOn that week's games again.
  3. In the time between the start of the first, and last, game of a given week a user can edit all their tips (even if no prior tips have been placed) by using the buyback feature. A buyback will only allow you to edit tips for games that have not yet begun. For example, if the second game of a week is currently live, using the buyback will only allow you to edit your tips on the third game onwards.
  4. A user can only use the buyback feature once in every week.
  5. Using the buyback feature will incur a cost of -1 (minus one) point to your total for the respective week.
  6. If margin and win tipping is active, a margin tip is dependent on the users' win tip. For example, if a user tips team A to win and a margin of 1-12, then team A must win by 1-12 for the user to be awarded any points for their margin tip. If team B wins by 1-12 points then the user will not be awarded any points for their margin tip. If however, margin tipping is used without win tipping then the margin tip is independent of which team wins by that margin. In this case a user who has tipping a margin of 1-12 will receive points if either team A or team B win by 1-12 points.
  7. First scorer tipping is independent of all other tip categories.
